The Captain and Crew Quarters

Welcome to The Captain and Crew Quarters at Apple Valley Lake for your next Knox County getaway!

The whole lower level of this commercial building is yours to enjoy as well as the fenced-in pet friendly backyard, hot tub, firepit, and more. We have spent well over a year on the interior and exterior of this unit to prepare for your stay. Our goal was to have a quiet and enjoyable space with modern and extra conveniences/comforts at an affordable price. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Items we provide: Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, coffee filters, dish soap, hand soap, cleaning products for the kitchen, bathing towels, hand towels, bath soap, fully equipped kitchen, iron/ironing board, hair dryer, DirecTV, internet, first aid kit, propane/gas grill, firepit, wood, lighter fluid, outdoor furniture, large fenced-in back yard, pet waste station, hot tub, and of course the fully finished Captain and Crew Quarters.
Items to bring: Groceries are available at Walmart and Kroger approximately a 15 minute drive straight down 36 West towards Mount Vernon. Gambier does offer some available groceries downtown at The Village Market (10 mins), there is a Dollar General (5 mins) East on 36 towards Howard. The Gas Station next door sells Beer, Wine, ice, snacks, and many other items expected to find at a large gas station. The following is a list of some items you may want to bring for your convenience: Groceries, bottled water (we are city water, though some people prefer bottled water), condiments, coffee, and personal toiletries.

We are pet friendly!

However, there are a few things to know and understand. Pets are not permitted on the beds, furniture, or in the spa. Any time your pet is left unattended, your pet must be crated. If you take your pet outside of the Quarters or the back yard, your pet must be leashed at all times. The booking party is responsible for any damage to anything caused by any member of your party’s pet(s), including but not limited to: furnishings, beds, linins, towels, bead spreads, rugs, floors, carpet, trash cans, bathroom items, bedroom items, kitchen items, exterior items, doors, the fence, or anything else not listed that is damaged on the premises. Always clean up after your pet inside and out. You will be charged for any needed pet waste
